Submissions
For those interested in submitting work for consideration: We're always on the lookout for new artists to work with. The best way for us to get a look at your samples is through links to where on the web we can view them. Please do not send samples to any of our email addresses because they will not be viewed and/or considered. When submitting your links to us, please label your subject corresponding to the ares of production you wish to be considered for (i.e. pencils, inks, colors, letters).
Pencils
When submitting for consideration as a penciler, be sure to submit only pencils. One or two pinups/covers is fine, but we really need to see sequentials; at least five to six pages worth to give a decent example of your ability to tell a story through pictures.
Inks
When submitting for consideration as an inker, try not to send us inks over your own pencils. Any flaws in the pencils may influence judgement over your inks. Again, one or two pinups is fine, but we really need to see your inks over sequential pages. Try to have each page you ink be from a different artist to give us an idea of your versatility.
Colors
When submitting for consideration as a colorist, feel free to send a mix of cover art as well as sequentials. We would really like to see both. Again try not to color over your own lines, but instead find samples from other artists to demonstrate your own versatility. The focus should be lighting, atmosphere and mood.
Letters
When submitting for consideration as a letterer we need to see 5 or 6 pages worth of samples. These can be letters over pencils, inks or finished colorsi. We need to see your ability to letter each page and have the dialogue and/or sound fx compliment the overall design and flow of each page.
